HELP US CELEBRATE JACKIE ROBINSON DAY ON APRIL 15 at 6:00pm Tabernacle Baptist Church-Gastonia. Come, bring your children. Learn about Jackie Robinson, and how he used his faith and determination to break the color barrier in baseball. Hear from area athletes who, like Jackie, experienced some difficult days and trying times–yet they made it! Each presenter will share and show how important it is to “score in life.” “Jackie Robinson Day is a significant event that takes place annually on April 15 in Major League Baseball (MLB). It commemorates and honors the day when Jackie Robinson made his major league debut. On this special day, all players, coaches, managers, and umpires on both teams wear Robinson’s iconic uniform number, 42. This tradition is a powerful reminder of Robinson’s historic achievement and his role in breaking the color barrier in baseball.” MLB
